The Breakfast Club is a hot breakfast program that was started in November 2016. The program runs every Saturday from 8-10 with set up and prep starting at 6:30. In the first year we served over 2500 hot breakfasts. The program has grown from averaging 30-40 per day to now where we are serving 40-50 per day with some days verging on 60. The youngest served is probably 2 and the oldest would be in their 70’s or 80’s

The idea was a heavenly download as we saw that weekends were a time when there were no feeding programs in Pt Hardy. The desire to feed people and have them know they were loved before they got into their days and had the world coming at them. God said give them my best and so we have served hot food that is as good or better than any breakfast in town. We have served skillet breakfasts, omelets of all kinds, Juevos rancheros, bacon/ham/sausage and eggs, pancakes, French toast and even Eggs Benny.

Food is purchased through private donations and the food bank as well as private donations of goods such as bread, eggs, proteins, jams and jelly’s.

We always love having extra people helping so we can not just serve their belly’s but to minister to the whole man by talking, listening, playing pool etc... and building relationships. These are bridges that allow Christ to come in.
